A Couple Ideas

Ok I’ve been mulling over some things I’ve been thinking of doing but wanted some feedback from you peeps to see if any of you would be interested in!

1. I have been thinking of making a Ko-Fi. I am a minimum wage worker in real life and while I love helping out webcomics monetarily I just don’t have the funds to do as much as I would like. Being able to have donations from here that I could prioritize to helping webcomics would allow me to save more of the money I make at my job. I am, however, hesitant in doing this. I fear that if I do this, then I might accidentally cause webcomic creators to feel indebted to this blog due to its assistance in advertising comics. I never want to make people feel like they owe from simply because I love and read their comic. I am simply a person who wants to encourage and admire the hard work of others. I don’t want to have support out of some unconsentual “I Owe You”, I want to have support out of belief in what I am doing and a desire in learning about new and intresting webcomics. To understand what I the Ko-Fi donations would go towards, here’s a bullet point list of things I would do with it:

• Kickstarters, especially individual, unique stories.
  
• Small-time, physical comics.
• Patreons, particularly ones that might give exclusive content.
• With all the above, I will make posts talking about and reviewing any type of unique content that you peeps might be interested in learning about, perhaps even want to invest in yourselves! 
• And my other idea…

2. I want to comission comic creators for making the banner and icon for this webcomic! I think this might be a great idea to help further promote creators and their comics. I would be doing this every 1-3 months. Of course I would be paying said creators, however I have never commissioned an artist myself and don’t know what range of money I would offer. I would also like to come up with a common theme, something that would make changes between icons and banners less jarring and more familiar for followers as a whole. I was thinking of having a character from the comic of the creators sitting on the moon like a chair, reading their own comic, but I don’t know if that would be sensible and would like to hear others ideas!

I’d love to hear what you peeps think! This blog is so important to me and my work on here is doing so much good; doing so much more than I ever imagined, and I genuinely believe that I can do so much more. But I need help. This blog relys so much on the contributions of creators and readers, I am just the person whose motivation and inspiration has made something new but is still learning how to improve it to make it so much more. Send me more ideas and if you think either of these ideas are something you think is worth trying out!
