Following the success of Roller Derby, we are proud to announce that Vol. 4 will be Sci-Fi. This will also be our One year of Chubby Anthologies and we want to make this one the biggest edition. So we are allowing more time to get some stories and illustrations.

  • Volume 4 Theme: Sci-Fi Fantasy
  • Deadline is December 5, 2017, Midnight (CST)
  • Submit to chubbyanthology@gmail.com subject line Volume 4

What are we looking for with this volume? Well, we are looking of Illustrated Stories and Stand Alone Illustrations based around the theme Sci-Fi Fantasy. Keep in mind we are an LGBT indie zine for people of all sizes. Be as creative as you want to be. Travel to space, time travel to the future, star gaze with a loved one, or invade a strange planet. The galaxy is the limit.

What are the requirements for submitting? In your submission please include a title of the work, medium, date, Paypal (for us to pay you) and also please include your artist name if it’s different than your legal name. Illustrated Stories please no more than 10 pages of the story. Stand Alone illustrations, please no more than 5 images submitted.  The size of work needs to be in 8x11 at least 300 DPI  CYKM.

We are excepting Featured Artist interest at this time. If you like to be one of the 30 that get featured on the blog email us at Chubbyanthology@gmail.com tagline; Featured 4. 

The zine will be funded by Indiegogo or Kickstarter (TBT) which will launch January 2018. The anticipated launch date will be Feb 2018.

Deadline for Chubby ANthology Vol. 4 Sci-Fi Edition is Dec. 4 2017

To apply you most:

  • Submit finish piece of illustration or sequential art
  • most be at least 16 to enter
  • Art most be in theme
  • Sequential art has a max of 10 pages
  • Email all finished work to Chubbyanthology@gmail.com

Theme everyone voted on is Sci-fi. I know this is a wide theme and cen be interepted many ways. Anything goes as long as it has the sci-fi feel. unsure email me at the address above. Remeber we are an LGBT for this one I want to see something more than just lesbian, evey sexualtiy/gender/and this case species is excpeted here

Artwork Requirements

  • Size 8.5 x 11
  • Image at least 300DPI
  • Color in CKYM (always get those letters flipped)
  • Black and white accepted
  • Dont worry about the Bleed i do that in editing

Theme: We want sequential stories about Roller Derby (10 page max) or stand alone illustrations (5 illustration max per artist). We want to hear stories about being fresh meat, co-ed bouts, your dream of playing, or simply your fan stories BE AS CREATIVE AS YOU CAN! 

I recently got some question on if this was a Lesbian only art-book. Well we did start that way but for Vol. 3 we have opened our minds & heart to accept more then just Lesbian. We are open to stories about gay, lesbian, straight, trans or just simply stories about Derby. Be free and be you!

GOAL: We are putting stories & Illustration in a special Bout Bettie’s book that will go out to real derby/comic fans…LOTS of people!
