Summary:Colorless is a fantasy webcomic that follows the story of a young boy known as Joki, who wakes up in a city called Aisho with no memories of things that happened on February 29th, prior to his appearance there. Joki later meets other kids who don’t have memories of February 29th as well, and are trying to find their families. As the journey goes on, they will learn about the creatures lurking Aisho City’s streets and just how unwelcome humans are.

- Has a great fun between darker/serious and funny and sarcastic
- Very atmospheric and beautiful artwork
- Has video shorts that are very beautiful
- has an interesting concept with a lot of mystery that I be happy to see solved in the future!

- Wonderfully fleshed out characters with intresting in depth backgrounds and interests that make characters so much more relatable and enjoyable to learn about
- Entertainingly designed characters and world with enough fantasy to stretch the possibilities while also using concepts that are comparable to reality
- comic has a lot of action while also being very emotive.
- Overall a very compelling read that I have come to adore and hope that you will too!

- The different structures of relationships compared to today’s normative standards makes this a really interesting read with a unique perspective
- The communication styles and character development are interesting and unique
- Wide variety of characters with contrasting interests and perspectives that make the comic even more fascinating
- ok I might be repeating myself here, but the relationship dynamics are unlike anything I’ve read thus far each being treated as important and different from one another. This comic is truly one of a kind!

- I think for the fact that I stayed up till 3 in the morning reading this comic from beginning to end nonstop should be a compliment in of itself I honestly couldn’t put it down!
- Lovely character development throughout that made the characters seem all more real
- Each relationship was one of a kind and it’s own lovely story.
- Thoroughly enjoyed the manga-esque art style that really tied the story telling together!

I did it…1000 comics archived..just..you peeps are great. You know that, right? I spend a little bit of my day, everyday, reading the stories people come up with. People go out of their way to make characters, build worlds, and help them come to life through writing and art.
Each story is unique. Every comic I pick up leaves an imprint on me. Storytelling is a gift that reaches a person to the core of their being. It transcends generations, all walks of life. And I get the opportunity to take notes on the stories being told right now. I get to watch these stories unfold piece by piece. I get to witness something so personal, so beautiful… and I am allowed to show my appreciation for that intimacy by having an outlet to show others what I see in the best way I know how.
I can’t explain how much running this blog/archive has impacted my life. I never want to lose the spark that my work here gives me. I won’t be stopping my archiving anytime soon. But for now… let’s go appreciate 1000 amazing webcomics!

The site was a major pillar of webcomic culture, being one of the first webcomic specific sites out there and still pretty popular before it updated last year and caused a mass exodus from the site. The loss of this site is a tragedy with the variation of hosting sites slimming and the loss of many comics exclusive to the site.
One day soon I want to do a full post recounting the history and significance of Smackjeeves. It was one of the first places I consistently read comics and has a special place in my memory and a soreness towards it’s avoidable demise. But in the meanwhile be sure to support those who were affected by this closure. I will be updating my archives in the next few days to remove Smackjeeves from the public archives and putting exclusive comics on private. May the imprint of this platform live on in the minds of people who were touched by its existence.
