I thought HEY why not post some classic Up and Out strips from the archive.
“Starsend” is the third of three short comics in a collection of positive and uplifting genderqueer comics that will be available for purchase in September.
The first short comic is available to read HERE.
The second short comic is available to read HERE.
Starsend is focused on an agender character coming to terms with their identity on Earth. Shout out to sinistraal who helped me formulate the initial concept behind Starsend.

Hi!!! My break from posting comics went on way longer than I thought it would!! I've been hard at work living my life and drawing personal autobio comics for myself again~ I'm not ready to get into the swing of regular updates JUST yet but I should update soon explaining what's up!! 💜
ANYWAY, This day I was thinking about how I sometimes go round in circles thinking about why I do the things I do. But it's ok to just enjoy things without remorse or worries. 💕
See y'all soon!!
A gay comic for your Monday.

THIS IS IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTANDING THIS COMIC: this is part of an autobiographical series I started months back to document my gender transition. These all took place months ago.
August 23rd, 2016. Oops.
I had been using makeup daily as a crutch to avoid being misgendered and began attempting to wean myself off. Keyword being attempting.

August 29th, 2016. More fun times with internalized transphobia and a lack of self-acceptance. This sorta thing Still lingers, popping up now & then. I gotta be vigilant in recognizing it & calling it out when my brain is being a dummy.

August 20, 2016. I came out to my 5 year old niece and she adapted over the course of the afternoon. She’d thought it was a game at first.
She now only calls me aunt Julie without fail. She once brought up to my sister about how cool it is that I’m a girl now. Sweetheart.

Here’s a new comic ‘cuz this has been on my mind a lot lately.
It doesn’t matter how or when you realize you’re trans.
Your gender identity is valid. Your narrative is valid.

August 28th, 2016. The early days of transitioning really exacerbated my social anxiety in public. As usual, despite being visibly trans at the time, this had nothing to do with my actual appearance.
A recent one. I have a trans friend and every time we get together we vent for ages. It’s great, there’s just so much to get into.
If ya trans, I can’t recommend hanging with other trans people enough. It’s so good having a space to talk about issues w/someone who gets it
