Yo peeps! In celebration of Autism Acceptance Month I have decided that i want to do a masterpost cataloging autistic representation in webcomics! I’ve been wanting to expand my work on marking representation in webcomics for a while beyond my current work on LGBT representation, and I think this project will help kickstart my goal to make an entirely new page in my library helping peeps find representation of characters with mental and physical disabilities.
To do this I need help. I have read a lot of comics already with a variety of characters, all with different experiences in life, but I can read so much and my ear on new comics relies greatly on the readers and creators who bring my attention to them. So here’s how you can help me find new webcomics:
1. Reblog this post! Either add a comment telling me about comics that you read or just reblog it with nothing to help spread the word to other people who might be interested in what I am doing. Either way this will really help me with my goal!
2. For webcomic creators that have autistic characters, submit your comic to me! Your work means so much to so many people who are looking for autistic characters and people that represent both their struggles and what they love about themselves, including me, and hopefully this masterpost will help connect those people to your comic! I have added in a physical and mental disabilities category so just mention if your character is autistic there!
3. Do you already have your webcomic in my library? Have you already submitted your comic to me in the past? Don’t feel comfortable submitting your comic to me or just don’t have the time? Send me an ask! I will happily keep the ask private by request. I already have 3 comics that have autistic representation noted for this masterpost (Sharp Zero, All Our Cuts and Bruises, and Spectra Spell) but I feel like there must be more I have already read and I would love to represent them in this masterpost!
I plan on releasing this masterpost on either the 21st or the 28th of April depending on the response I get from this post, so help me out! Let me hear about the autistic characters that have warmed your heart and help me spread the word and warm the hearts of others too!

This particular year, grade ten, seems to be taking even longer than usual; it’s frustrating, monotonous, nothing ever happens! Then suddenly, an unexpected teacher’s strike hits everyone unawares and drags the already slow-moving school year to a grinding halt. With no sign of the strike letting up, Paige and her friends Trix and Trevor set out to have as many wacky adventures with their new-found free time as possible. Summary: Millennials with shapeshifting battle monsters. They (the monsters, not the millennials) are immortals who bond with human Masters for the span of that human’s life – except the Dog, who ran away and was taken in by a couple of underemployed queer twentysomethings. Now they have to figure out the battle system, protect their new pet/friend from shadowy pursuers, and find someplace that’s hiring full-time.

Summary: Darling Death is a webcomic about the lives of a few young adults surviving the world of the paranormal, and the regular hassles of entering adulthood. Set in a cozy, small town surrounded by mountains and great pine trees, the story features a small cast of humans, ghosts, and a few supernatural creatures.
Summary: Tula is a student just trying to get through her senior year of college. Little does she know that her new rental is inhabited by demons. Juggling her social life and these new roommates should be no problem.
Summary: Dragondove is not about destiny or gun fights, but choices and mistakes, and the struggle of determining the right roads to take. A girl called Lucky doesn’t believe that’s the whole story, so she skips town, looking to wrangle herself some adventure, mystery, and a dragon of her own.

Summary: Living Space is a 130-page comic about a space museum janitor named Norma Abernathy. She lives a relatively solitary life in Seattle, content to be a loner. Her life comes to an abrupt halt when she learns that her mother has passed away. Determined to find closure, Norma leaves on a road trip with two complete strangers, Shaula Wasem and Phoebe Gita. On Norma’s journey, we see the struggles of trying to exist in a space outside our homemade habitat. Living Space contains themes of mental illness, LGBT romance, life transitions, and anxiety of being in the open.
Summary: Magic Advisor is a fantasy comedy with LGBT themes. Lizzy is a magic advisor helping people out with supernatural problems. Prim is a wannabe supervillain in frilly dresses who likes stealing occult objects. The comic follows the adventures of those two frenemies.
Summary: Missing Monday is a coming of age webcomic that follows Foyle Leaf and her growing relationship with Monday Rhodes, a girl from another world who appears one day through a doorway in an abandoned clocktower.
Summary: This is a romantic comedy and everyday life about 2 girls that meet each other when one moves into the apartment complex where the other one is already living. One gets instant crush on the other and it’ll be her adventure on getting her heart.
Summary: Five twenty-somethings have just found out they’re not human: they’re actually changelings, magical beings swapped with humans as babies. As such, they frequently venture into the magical Otherworld to figure out whoand what they are, while still tackling their life in the human world, and making new friends and foes along the way.
Summary: Amira and Sadie are two very different princesses who decide to take their happily ever after into their own hands. Princess Princess was my first attempt at a longer comic narrative, and I hope one that depicts different kinds of female strength and relationships.
Summary: Rain is a slice-of-life/comedy/drama that follows the life of a teenage transgender girl named Rain, as she attempts to go through her senior year in high school identifying only as a woman. Along the way, she makes friends with an eclectic bunch of people of varying orientations and gender identities. See their stories filled with silly humor, teenage angst, occasional adult angst, copious amounts of love triangles, mockery of product names, complex relationships, tons and tons of dialogue, and sometimes a cute, little bunny.
Summary: When a zombie apocalypse hits during the practice of a high school basketball team, it’s a whole new life for the coach, Jeff. The world’s turned upside down and the girls seem to be handling the changes way better than Jeff, who has troubles adjusting. A close-knit group of friends, the girls are eager to tackle this new world with its challenges!
Summary: Rife with nuns, Witches, magick, werewolves, cats, giant robot mechas, and blue angels who pop out of toilets to announce approaching apocalypses, Sister Claire is a webcomic about a young woman who leaves her quiet abbey to undergo a rigorous journey across a monster-riddled wilderness.
Summary: Life is quiet for Jen Gurrera, whose only joy is catching glimpses of her crush, the stoic and mysterious Revonda Red – until she discovers that her flame is an undercover agent protecting the earth from intergalactic fugitives. Jen dives headlong into a world of aliens, deep sea bases, and dazzlingly attractive fellow agents in the hopes that, if she’s lucky, Red could feel the same way.
Summary: Chloe Ritter was your ordinary queer, trans woman in Cream City. But when she suffers a traumatic experience at the hands of an old acquaintance, she discovers she has extraordinary abilities. With the help of her girlfriend, she dons a mask and begins protecting Cream City as The Blue Valkyrie. But it’s not easy to be a superhero: when community activists and ruthless businessmen go head to head, Chloe will have to discover what kind of hero the world truly needs.
Summary: The Damastesien army, enslaving and pillaging, sweeps the continent in search of their runaway queen. Gambler and thief Mephena Sibiclair travels alone, terrified of capture. The thief meets a rude elf with a heart of gold who is looking for a girl. Together they flee the Damastesi Empire.
Summary: The fairly uncomplicated story of a lesbian child who is sent off to a convent to have her ungodly ways corrected. That works out about as well as you would expect.
