Hello Everyone!
We thought we’d start waking up your notifications for new Belfry content so you don’t miss a thing, but long story short: WE’RE BACK!
It’s been a long hiatus, but we are back to bring you more of the lady knights you love and miss! Here’s the breakdown of what’s to come:
NEW, IMPROVED, BUT GAY AS EVER ART! It’s been a while since we’ve worked on the comic, so you’ll probably see a difference in MJ’s art style. We hope you like it! To make the art style transition as seamless as possible, we are resetting all pre-existing Chapter 4 pages (on Tapas only). Next week, we’ll reupload those files there and we’ll start new pages the week after.
THURSDAY SCHEDULE, this will be our new upload day. Every Thursday, we’ll bring new updates for you to enjoy!
MUCH MORE TO COME! Now that we are getting back into the swing of things, expect to hear other news as we dust things off. We’ll have more information soon, but first up will be an awesome convention appearance next month!
As always, our Patreon is here: www.patreon.com/BelfryKnights
Patron support helps us dedicate more time to the comic, which translates into more comic for YOU!
We’re happy to be back and can’t wait to reconnect with you all!

2020 recap and 2021 goals!
Hiya peeps! 2020 has certainly been a rollercoaster for a variety of reasons. It has certainly been a challenge however I feel very pleased with what the library has been able to accomplish this year! Over the course of this year we have…
- Added roughly 487 webcomics to the library, with 1778 webcomics total for the public to search through.
- Has expanded to include print, download, and subscription comics
- Added 2 completely new tag categories to the library (”Available as…” and “Style and Format”) along with a number of new individual tags to sort through.
- Made it to 74k views on Tagpacker with 76 followers
- Got to be interviewed on “Setting the Record Queer”. I talk about how I run the library, my relationship with what I’m doing here, and a little on my plans for the future.
- Officially entered the public records in the Library of Congress! The database and tumblr are now being recorded for historical use and reference.
- Opened a discord for readers and creators alike. We give spaces to talk shop, share art and stories, and meet other peeps in the community! You can dm me for an invite.
- @feathernotes made a new icon for the library!
- Created an Amazon and Bookshop affiliate front. You can find a number of comics within the library that you can buy while also helping out the library!
- Hit 1080 followers on Tumblr, 2318 followers on Twitter, and 56 followers on Pillowfort
The Library has expanded a lot this year and so many doors have opened as well. I have so many ideas for where I want to take this project but some of the goals I want to pursue in 2021 are..
- Making more original posts on social media. I took some steps back from consistent posting in 2020 in exchange for focusing on my expansion projects on the library database itself. I want to be more active again and engage with folks.
- Create a Pillowfort group. I want to be more active on this site especially. I think I could make use of Pillowfort to further engage with the webcomic community and just generally have fun with it!
- Work to promote and continue building the WCL Discord into an active and supportive space.
- Open an independent site. If you have been following me a while you’ll know this has been on my bucket list for a while but now I have an idea of what kind of content I want to produce on such a platform and how I could do it successfully.
- Interact with comic groups and publishers to add more comics to the library. I think I have a good platform now that can offer something unique to different groups. I do a lot of content work surrounding the Library on my own so having external help from larger groups would be a big plus!
- Reach 2,000 webcomics in the Library.
Despite everything I think I was able to walk away with some things I could look fondly back on. For the first time since around the time I begun this project publicly 4 years ago I have a group of friends who I regularly talk to. They’re a group of people who I respect and admire and I feel the same energy back. I’ve come to realize the skills and work I’ve done has significant worth and perhaps one day soon I’ll be able to put these skills to use in a job that could actually support me financially.
In the next year I want to take some massive steps. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous but I’m also hopeful. 2020 has been far from the perfect year but I’m going to move forward with a desire to keep working towards making something I’m proud of. Thank you all for your support this year!

Guess who, after 3 years of reading and having an entire blog dedicated to webcomics, has learned what the heck an RSS feed is and how to use them?
This is gonna come in handy to promoting updates!
Did any of you know that if you read a lot of webcomics and you don’t stay on the ball with them eventually the webcomic alerts changes to a passively aggressive smiley face?
