FINALLY, THE MUCH AWAITED AND PROBABLY MUCH, MUCH NEEDED UPDATE TO THAT NONBINARY COMIC I DID LAST YEAR (last year????? I don’t remember)
I’ve learned a lot since then, and while I have to say the truth is a bitter pill to swallow, it does open my eyes to issues that I previously have not seen nor considered before. Being a cis Muslim woman is already hard enough as it is. But being an afab nonbinary Muslim? Oh boy. If I were to touch on that here I will not have the space to do so, and it’s honestly still something I’m learning about, so I don’t have the resources or knowledge enough to talk about this here.
Yes we still have a lot of things we need to work out on. Yes, I probably will never take my hijab off knowing what kind of things I might end up getting if I did (I could get kicked out of my own house, for one). I realize and understand these are issues faced by nb Muslims like me EVERYWHERE.
But you know what?
In the end only Allah can judge you for who you are. And I highly doubt He cares what you identify with. All I know is that He is Most Merciful and Most Forgiving. So fuck what people tell you. You’re valid, your gender is valid, your beliefs are valid, and you can be both at the same time and still be a good Muslim.
Fuck what everyone says. Be you, do you!

Summary: Wynn is struggling to survive when the Immortal Swigne gives Wynn their Blessing. The only explanation Swigne gives is that Wynn now has “Power”. Wynn meets people Blessed by other Immortals that can help guide them. In searching for knowledge of their new gift Wynn finds love, friendship and a more full sense of self identity. Wynn learns that being Blessed is a gift with a price tag of responsibilities and constant hunger attached, but the pay off is fantastic strength and the resources they’ll need to thrive in the world they live in. As long as Wynn keeps overcoming the challenges their new status brings them.
Summary: ChaosLife is a semi-autobiographical comic. It focuses on a queer relationship between A. Stiffler and K. Copeland, who create the comic! It also delves into politics, GSM issues, mental health, pop culture, cats and other randomness. Since its debut in 2011, ChaosLife has been featured in numerous publications, including The Washington Post, The Discovery Channel’s Official Blog, The Australian Broadcasting Company, AutoStraddle, WIRED, Neatorama and MSN Japan, among many other online and real-world venues.ChaosLife updates once a week, at least!
Summary: After a long journey, the young witch Victoria finally arrived in Port Arbores, the city on the edge of the abyss. Can the city’s secret protector, the Strayer, help her find her missing mother?
Summary: Ignition Zero is an urban fantasy comic about a group of friends who get mixed up with faeries and spirits! It takes place in the fictitious city of Glory, Maryland in the fall of 2011, and covers the adventure Robbie, Orson, Neve, and Martin have with their friend, a spirit they call Ivory. Only Ivory–and those they’ve been defending her from–may not be what she seems. There isn’t always a clear right or wrong side to a story…
Summary: Les Normaux follows the life of a bunch of supernatural beings living in Paris after a human wizard named Sebastien moved to the city. They each tell their own side of the story in their respective diaries.
Love Not Found (Hiveworks) (Facebook) (Warning: Sexual Nudity, Death)
Summary: LOVE NOT FOUND is a story about a young woman living in a time where touching has become outdated. She has recently moved to a new planet and finds that touching might not be such a bad idea. Now she is on a quest to find someone who wants to do things the old fashioned way!
Summary:
Lucretia von Eldritch leaves their life behind looking for fulfillment. Instead they find Edita, a disgruntled tavern maid hungry for a better life, her adoptive children Erowid and Gishbar, and many others all with their own ulterior motives.
Summary: Deserters escape to the swamp from a soon-to-be cult and get involved in a dispute between the swamp’s magic inhabitants, who all seem to have ulterior motives. Has some violence.

“Starsend” is the third of three short comics in a collection of positive and uplifting genderqueer comics that will be available for purchase in September.
Starsend is focused on an agender character coming to terms with their identity on Earth. Shout out to sinistraal who helped me formulate the initial concept behind Starsend.
Using the words of LGBT+ people from around the world, PLUS is a project in which people can share themselves, along with their fears and hopes for the future.
