Hiya! First of all I wanted to give a huge thank you to you peeps! Over the past week I’ve seen more folks following this tumblr and interaction with the Webcomic Library database than I’ve seen since I put this project out to the public over 4 years ago. I’m blown away by all the love the library has been getting!
With all the new folks following I wanted to give a little update on what I’ve been up to. Back in January I finished my previous major project which was expanding the library to include print, subscription, and download exclusive comics. I actually started this project back in May 2020 but it took a while to enter in my full personal collection. With that integration done I’m hoping to continue adding more paywalled content to help promote those works and let readers know what they’re getting into before buying.
With all the support this project has been getting I’m itching to get working on the next major project on the horizon. Now folks who have been following my work for a while be familiar with my pervious masterpost series and know that I back away from doing them around this time last year. I’ve been missing them terribly but want to take my blog work a step upward. For the next step in the library I’m looking to make an independent blog space! I have a lot of ideas for what kind of content I want to bring to the table and I’m hoping you all will stick around to see the result!
This major project is currently slow going as I have other priorities in my personal life that need my attention and care but I’m hoping to get more things moving during the summer. In the meanwhile I’ve been regularly working in the background to add and update the Webcomic Library database. Currently I’m chipping away at an inventory of the “Genre” tag category. I have plans to edit and add a few tags during the process, including combining the “Historical Fantasy” and Historical Fiction” tags and adding a “Furry” tag so keep an eye out for that!
While I’m at it I also wanted to promote the Webcomic Library Discord! We’re approaching 300 members strong now and hold events regularly. This month we have the following events going on:

What started as a personal collection for my own personal reference and to recommend things to friends got turned into a blog and public database this day 4 years ago.
So much love and passion has gone into the library over the years. It’s become a huge part of my life and has changed me for the better. I’ve been able to learn so much through others and my own experimentation, read so many stories that both make me laugh and leave me in awe, and met so many people through the project with some I’d even consider close friends. I still have so many things I want to do with the Webcomic Library that I can’t wait to get to. I really hope you all with continue following the library along on it’s adventure. Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or found it a few days ago thank you for supporting the Webcomic Library!
The Webcomic Library has been a project I have been officially working on for almost 4 years come next month. It’s been my passion project and has helped me through my life more than you know. I’m constantly inspired by the creators and stories I learn about in the webcomics community and through this work I can only hope to give that back in return.
It’s my absolute delight to announce the Webcomic Library is being archived by the Library of Congress! This means the contents of my Tagpacker database and tumblr are being recorded and documented for future use and research regarding comic literature and criticism. I’m very excited to have the opportunity and have my work be regarded as worthwhile and important for others who want to know what stories people are taking the time to share.
I can only hope to do right by the folks whose webcomics mean so much to me and to continue to improve and expand upon the work I’m doing right now. I just want to thank you all. From the readers looking for a comic to read to librarians looking for new books to buy to the creators looking to find community and resources. I can only hope to not only continue to contribute these things but keep learning right along with you!

Hiya peeps! I haven’t made a personal post on here for a while but the past week the library has hit over 1500 comics archived! I’ve been working super hard to add new tags, categories, and expand the library’s scope to include print and download comics!
I want to get back to constructing masterposts and other things for yall in the future but for now I have been more than happy to keep working to make the webcomic library the best it can be. I have a lot of ideas for where I’d like to take the library and I hope you all will stick around for the ride!

In the three years since I started blogging about the Webcomic Library I feel like the core of what I’ve created and what drives me hasn’t changed much. But through the Library I’ve changed a lot.
Webcomic Library existed for 2 years before I started blogging about it. I started reading comics around one of the darkest points in my life. I had lost a lot of trust in myself. When I started blogging about the comics in my library I was experimenting with what I could do within my limitations. Overtime I’ve been able to find a niche for myself where I could share stories and learn from practice and other creators. I found appreciation and confidence in my abilities again and I wouldn’t have found it without the webcomic community to lift me up.
I know I could do a lot if I kept at it, but many of the accomplishments the Library’s achieved in these 3 years are beyond any of my expectations. Some of these you’ve already seen like the interview I did for The Advocate and my collaberation masterposts with Queer Webcomics. Other things are in the works right now that I haven’t shown yall yet but trust me it’s gonna blow you peeps away. It sure did for me. There’s so many things I still want to do. I have so many ideas for things I want to improve and expand on. I want to continue bringing stories forward for others to enjoy and for creators to be appreciated.
Thank you all for these last 3 years. It’s through creators and readers alike coming together to enjoy webcomics as a medium that makes the library worth remembering. I hope to keep the ball rolling for many years more!
